NYC Day # 4

Day #4 was our last day. It was also Mother Day!
We woke up that morning and our plan was to move from the city to a hotel closer to LaGuardia since our flight on Monday morning was so early. We also decided to take it easy for our last day. We got tickets to a Mets game and just planned on hanging out.
Erick got up early and went down and got me a bagel from the bagel place down the street from our hotel. It was delicious. We were going to try to take the Subway all the way to the new hotel, but when I got up that morning I just wasn't feeling great and we decided to call a taxi.
When we got to the new hotel they wouldn't let us check in early (even though we called and asked them ahead of time) so we were just going to leave our bags behind the desk and go to the game. We asked the front desk guy how we could get to the game from there and he said to take the bus and pointed down the street, he was so rude about it. So I looked at Erick and said, ok we'll give it a shot. We walked a couple of blocks down the street to the bus stop and waited and waited and waited, it was getting super hot and I wasn't feeling good at all. I told Erick I didn't think I was going to make it. We decided to walk back to the hotel and wait out the rooms. Erick went and asked the front desk guy again about the rooms and he said it would be a couple of hours, then he asked him if he could call us a taxi to the stadium and he said "you don't need a cab, the hotel shuttle will take you, you just need to get your own way back" WHAT? Why didn't he tell us that in the beginning. Instead we had to walk all the way down to the bus stop, miss the first shuttle and walk all the way back! UGH!! So I finally rallied and we waited for the shuttle to take us. I'm glad we decided to go, it was a lot of fun. We had great seats at the club level. Erick bought me a corn dog and we watched for a couple of innings. They were playing the LA Dodgers! We were super excited to see the home team even though we were sporting Mets Hats.

By the bottom of the 7th I had pretty much given all I could give and told Erick I needed to go back to the hotel. We had so much fun on our little trip. We will have these memories for the rest of our lives. It was fun to have one last get away with just Erick and I before life gets really real. With Erick graduating in December and big changes happening with our family at the end of the year, we needed a little get away to celebrate our 5th anniversary and all the new things to come.

Your pictures make my totally want to go back. I hope you enjoyed your time there, and good call on Top of the Rock...and I might be too forward here, but it seems like you keep dropping hints that you might be pregnant. If so, congrats :)
