2 Months

I'm a little behind in this post...life has been a little crazy at our house....

On February 21 our little girl turned 2 months old. HOLY COW!! Time really needs to slow down! 

I can not believe how much she's changed in the last month.

2 month milestones:

2 month picture

• Height: 23" 55 percentile
• Weight: 11lbs 4.5 oz 55 percentile
• Head: 16 3/8" 95 percentile (poor baby hasn't grown into her noggin yet)
• Her sleep/eat schedule is still all screwed up. She'll go between 3-4 hours between feedings and will sleep for about 2 hours of that. 
• She was diagnosed with Reflux at her 2 month appointment. Poor baby was suffering for a few weeks before we got back to the dr. We had tried everything just hoping it was gas. She would arch her back and scream after she ate and then between the feedings she would spit up alot of what she had eaten for the full 3 hours. She would sleep very restlessly on her back in her bassinet, which made for a really long night for mom and dad. We bought a little contraption call a "Nap Nanny" (my sister calls it a baby barcalounger) It does wonders because it keeps her reclined while she sleeps. We set it on top of the bassinet and let her sleep in it at night. It helped alot with the spit up between feedings at night and was the best money we spent. She still screamed after eating so we talked to the doctor about it. He prescribed us some Zantac. She's a totally different baby now. 
• She still hates her swing (I think it might make her a little sick because if it's going she screams, but if it's just sitting there she's fine for about 15 minutes)
• Still no smiles yet, but we are working on it.
• She loves to FaceTime with Gramma/Grampa and her cousins in CA. 
• She does a good job of tracking with her eyes, but it takes a big effort to move her head.
• We are working on lifting our head, but when she's put on her belly on the floor she just has a big freak out. When she's on my chest or being held upright she can arch back and hold it up just fine.

• When she gets excited one of her legs goes crazy like a kicking donkey. But when she gets mad, her arms start going in and out and both legs go crazy. 
• Erick has been gone alot studying for the bar, so when he gets home he needs his "Avery time" they go into the nursery and watch TV and hang out while mom gets other things done. I have walked in a few times to find them watching Maury Povich and Wrestling. 
• Mom loves to dress her up in all kinds of cute outfits. She doesn't enjoy it as much as mom and even more HATES putting things over her head. We've had to go to the 3-6 month onesies because the 0-3 month necks are too small for her head.

• She's very indifferent about her baths. Doesn't really care if she's there or not, but if you take her out the crying begins. 

• She got her 2 month shots. That was hard on mommy. They shouldn't make mom's be in the room when that happens. She was a trooper though. Cried for a little bit in the office, they told me I could feed her to calm her down, which helped a lot. She ran a little fever the rest of the day and the day after but she was fine after that.

Allee is the best babysitter. She never gets too close and really doesn't "love" Avery, but if she's on the floor Allee will come lay by her and watch over her. It's really sweet.
